LGBT History Month

LGBT History Month is a month-long annual observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements. It originated in the United States and was first celebrated there in 1994. It first took place in the UK in February 2005. It now takes place in countries all over the world. LGBT History month is intended to counter heterosexist attitudes in society and is a fabulous opportunity for everyone to get together and celebrate the achievements of civil rights movements across the globe.
