This is an exciting opportunity to work in a new service delivered by Touchstone, Womens Health Matters, Holbeck Elderly Aid and Leeds Beckett University to deliver a Wellbeing Space and Support Space across LS8, 9, 10 and 11. The WSSS service will provide a community health development service in South and East Leeds. The service is funded by Public Health at Leeds City Council.
We are looking for proactive individuals who are confident in using coproduction and asset-based community development approaches to improve individual and community protective factors and reduce risk factors associated with mental health and wellbeing. You will design and deliver activities with targeted communities and the wider workforce to reduce risk factors associated with mental health and wellbeing. You will have experience of motivating others to have positive conversations about mental health, delivering both group and individual work, and working with vulnerable or marginalised communities and volunteers successfully.
As this role will be employed by Holbeck Elderly Aid applicants with experience/ knowledge of the issues that affect older people would be a benefit.
