Alison Lowe Chief Executive

MA, BA (Hons)

Alison has been Touchstone’s Chief Executive since 2004. She is responsible for all strategy, policy development and organisational growth.  Alison reports to the Board of Trustees.  Alison has also previously worked for Foundation as a Service Director where she managed the Probation contract and was responsible for housing 1000 ex-offenders across West Yorkshire. Alison is also Touchstone’s LGBT Champion.

Jess Parker Deputy Chief Executive and Business Development Director

MA, BA (Hons)

Jess has worked for Touchstone since 2008.  She has coproduced a number of partnerships which reduce mental and other health inequalities.  These include Live Well Leeds, Mentally Healthy Leeds and Liaison and Diversion Services in West & South Yorkshire.  She is responsible for developing and embedding Touchstone’s Business Development Strategy and securing Touchstone’s sustainability.  She graduated from the University of Leeds in 2001 with an MA in Geography.

Kathryn Hart Human Resources Director

Kathryn Hart (Chartered MCIPD) has worked for Touchstone for several years in different roles, supported by Touchstone’s commitment to staff development, starting off as Officer Manager, then HR Manager and then onto her existing role of HR Director which she has carried out for the last 4 years. She finds the role very rewarding, in line with the  positive contribution she can make through HR in supporting Touchstone to deliver quality services to service users, carers and communities. Prior to working for Touchstone, Kathryn worked for Kirklees Council, in various business management and administration roles.

Arfan Hanif Operations Director - Quality & Performance

MA, BA (Hons)

Arfan is Touchstone’s Quality & Performance Director and has responsibility of supporting the delivery of high quality services across Touchstone. Since joining Touchstone in late 2012 Arfan has a held a number of roles in Touchstone and joined the Senior Management Team in September 2013. Before joining Touchstone Arfan held a number of diverse and senior roles in Local Government covering a 20 year period.  Arfan is committed to the principle of putting the lived experience of service uses at the heart of decision making.

Jim Leyland Operations Director – Inclusion

Jim has a breadth of experience in working with people who have mental health problems at both an operational and strategic level, working in the public, voluntary and regulatory sectors. He is a qualified social worker and has supported individuals and families through challenges adopting a strength based and inclusive approach. Jim has managed significant transformation projects including the implementation of the Care Act, personalisation and integration in management roles with local authorities; most recently he was Principal Manager for Mental Health and Learning Disability services. As well as operational responsibility he leads on safeguarding and  also developing coproduction in Touchstone and with partners.
